Client
Brief

We were tasked with sourcing an experienced business leader who would take full strategic responsibility for manufacturing and commercial growth across the UK.

The client was looking to develop their digital and ecommerce footprint, utilising the broader group’s manufacturing network to integrate and launch additional brands and products across the region.

Our
Process

Following a detailed briefing call with the client, we began by targeting professionals within the UK and European cosmetics sector, utilising our extensive network of proven business leaders.

Using this as a benchmark we then widened our search into FMCG and consumer goods brands with similar pricing strategies, sales funnels, and volume.

Key to this search, was a proven track record of building high-performing digital & ecommerce platforms, as well as identifying and nurturing talent for succession planning, and so an extended volume of relevant of industries were considered.

The
Candidate

The successful candidate was a UK national, who had operated in similar executive roles both in the UK and in Europe.

They were classically trained in both leading FMCG and premium branded cosmetics, possessing a strong commercial bias, which was a key element in the ideal profile outlined by the client.

The
Result

Following placement, the candidate has successfully established a full operating board, launched a new ecommerce and digital function within the business, and utilised the wider international group to introduce new brands across both cosmetics and haircare categories.

Furthermore, they prepared the business for a successful sale, where upon they assumed broader responsibilities, including the US market.

We have since supported the client with further executive and management roles in both UK and US, including Marketing, Sales, and Communications.
