We were tasked with securing an individual who held an in-depth understanding of the nuances of the spirits industry.

It was essential that they were well versed in navigating complications within the spirits sector, in particular manufacturing, marketing, and sales functions.

Critical, was an executive leader who had the diplomacy and personality traits to work with a tight knit entrepreneurial team of directors, circumnavigating through the relative early stages in a company scale-up.

Process

We utilised our existing network of proven non-executive candidates, producing a strong shortlist of candidates in a very short period of time.

Many of the candidates shortlisted we had known for up to 20 years, having supported them in a number of their previous assignments and projects, resulting in a fast and effective campaign.

Candidate

The candidate was an experience Non-Exec Director, having developed their career originally through marketing and with a brilliant track record in developing and driving brand growth across the premium spirits category.

They had successfully lead a household branded spirits group as CEO and then Chairman, successfully selling the business to an international competitor, where upon they sat on the acquiring board for a number of years, post-sale.

Result

Upon completion of the project, the Non-Exec Director has supported the business into a period of great success, in which they have won a number of accolades, experienced significant EPD and NPD, and raised further funds which has cemented their foundations for future growth.
