During the initial briefing call, we agreed, in partnership with our client, a well-known cosmetics brand, on the critical nature of the target profile possessing extensive experience within the health & beauty/cosmetics industry.

We required an outstanding professional with 8+ years beauty experience and a proven track record of driving organic growth.

Key to this search, was sourcing an individual who had operated across multiple brands, within both the UK and US, with the location initially to be based in London, however flexible depending on the global availability of talent.


Following an in-depth assessment of the UK market, including relocatable candidates in Western European, we advised our client to reposition the search to North America, using example profiles from our network and an exploratory headhunt.

As a result, we reprioritised our search to specifically target the east and west coasts, particularly New York and California, whilst also monitoring developments in the UK.

As part of our service, we consulted with and advised the client on the logistics of changing the location of the role, as well as the working arrangements and what remuneration package would be required to secure the very best talent available on the market.

We identified a ‘longlist’ of relevant target brands who were executing high-quality organic campaigns, including early-stage challenger brands who were leading in global comms strategy, in particular TikTok.

The next stage of our process resulted in a full headhunt and detailed candidates assessment, analysing decision making and leadership skills, with targeted characteristics including, candidate confident in decision making, informed by data/analytics.

Also key to the headhunt was a proven track record of building teams remotely.


The successful candidate was a very established specialist within the health and beauty industry, with an outstanding track record in digital communications campaigns.

Based in LA, they were a true thought leader with an extensive network in North America and key European markets.

They were a proven disruptor in the sector with the ability to take concepts and ideas from brief to execution.

The candidate was also in significant high demand, in multiple other process and had received formal offers from several global companies.

However, following an extensive process with ourselves, including face-to-face meetings with our client and clear visibility on career growth for the candidate, we successfully completed the process on behalf of our candidate and client.

In total, from initial brief, including multiple global headhunts, candidate assessments, and interview stages, the position was filled in just 3 weeks.


Within just one week of beginning in their new role, the candidate strategized and executed a Tik Tok campaign, which saw one of the clients new flagship products trending in the North American market.

Due to the success of the placement, we are currently working with the client to advise on the structure, location, and remuneration of the wider team, supporting in building a pipeline of talent ahead of their full year growth plans.
