  • Global food and wellness company, Hain Celestial Group, appointed Chris Jenkins as its new Head of Impact.
  • Radnor Hills appointed a new CEO and MD in William Watkins and Simon Knight respectively, the former of which is also the company founder.
  • Lidl appointed Jo Gomer as its new Marketing Director, joining the company from Tesco.
  • Weetabix promoted Colm O’Dwyer to Managing Director, following a successful 6 years as Commercial Director.
  • Asda named Matthew Heslop as its new COO, having spent over 20 years at Lidl serving in various senior operational roles.
  • Challenger brand, Liquid Death, appointed a new CFO in Karim Sadik-Khan, following a nearly two-decade career working for well-known brands Beam Suntory, PepsiCo and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
  • Carlsberg appointed Yves Briantais as Chief Marketing Officer and Esther Wu as Chief Information Officer.
  • High-growth pet food brand, KatKin, appointed Lloyd Page as its new Chief Marketing Officer, following a 20-year career working for many well-known brands including John Lewis and Virgin Media.
  • French grocer, Auchan Retail, named Patrice Moulin as its new Deputy Managing Director, responsible for the company’s transformation strategy.
  • Venus Wines was acquired by Booker Group, in an effort to bolster and diversify its premium alcohol offer.
  • TDR Capital acquired a majority stake in Asda, purchasing co-owner Zuber Issa’s stake in the supermarket chain.
  • Waitrose acquired the London-based meal kit company, Dishpatch, following a significant period of growth.
  • US-based food processing company, Tyson Foods, appointed Maria Martinez to its board of directors.
  • Cornish Bakery appointed a new Managing Director in Mat Finch, who joined the company from Caffeine&Machine.
  • Diageo-owned, Guinness, announced it had become the official beverage partner of The Premier League, following a successful H1 where sales were up 14%.
  • McDonald’s promoted Cesar Pina to the position of Chief Supply Chain Officer, having served in various operational roles for almost a decade.
  • Tesco reported strong Q1 growth with sales up 3.4%, taking total revenue generated to £15.3bn.
  • Marks & Spencer appointed Marsha Smith as its new Store Director, joining the British retailer from Swedish home improvement group, IKEA.
  • SPAR International announced Dominic Hall as their new President, having sat on the board of the SPAR UK Food Distributors since 2007, and a member of the Advisory Board since 2017.
  • The British Soft Drinks Associated appointed Radnor Hills founder and CEO, William Watkins, as its new President.
  • Tate & Lyle announced the acquisition of CP Kelco, a nature-based ingredients manufacturer, in a deal worth $1.8bn.
  • BENEO, the nutrition-focused ingredients company, revealed Olivier Roques as its new CEO, with over 20 years of US and European leadership experience.
  • Leading seafood business, A. Espersen confirmed Tino Bendix as its new CEO, joining from Orkla.
  • Athletic Brewing announced plans to acquire a second manufacturing facility in San Diego, California.
  • Nestlé appointed David Hancock as its Head of Investor Relations, joining the business from online food delivery group, Deliveroo.
  • Samworth Brothers promoted Simon Wookey to the position of CEO, following a 20-year tenure at Greencore, where he served in various senior commercial and Managing Director roles.
  • The Coca-Cola Company promoted Arnab Roy to the position of President, leading its Global Category.
  • UK-based sparkling wine business, Nyetimber, completed the acquisition of The Lakes Distillery for a fee of £71m.
  • Morrisons revealed a strong Q2 performance with a 4.1% increase in like-for-like sales, taking total revenue for the quarter to £3.8bn.
