  • Campari Group acquired France-based, Courvoisier Cognac, for a reported $1.7bn.
  • Diageo appointed Nik Jhangiani as CFO, who joins the business after 20 years at Coca Cola Europacific Partners, with Ed Walker promoted to CFO as Jhangiana’s replacement.
  • Papa Johns promoted Kurt Milburn to Chief Supply Chain Officer, previously serving as VP of Supply Chain Operations.
  • PepsiCo appointed Paula Marconi as their new Chief Marketing Officer, joining the business from Kraft Heinz where she also served as CMO.
  • John West promoted a new Commercial Director in Kate Willoughby, succeeding Mark Doherty, who stepped up to Managing Director earlier in the year.
  • Ocado named Gavin Patterson as Non-Executive Director, with the former BT CEO also becoming a member of the people and remuneration committees.
  • UK supermarket, Morrisons, acquired 38 convenience stores throughout the islands of Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney.
  • International Food Business, Valeo Foods, appointed Michael Inpong, as the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Arla Foods announced a £300m investment into its UK dairy production, across five different sites.
  • Laurent-Perrier, Camel Valley and Laphroaig Scotch Whisky were among the first beverage brands to receive the coveted Royal Warrant, from King Charles III.
  • Greggs reported Q1 sales growth of 7.4%, announcing plans to open 160 additional stores by the end of 2024.
  • Premier Foods appointed Malcolm Waugh, current CEO of Frugalpac, as Non-Executive Director.
  • Coca-Cola promoted Carlos Pagoaga to VP of Global Community Affairs, as well as President of the Coca-Cola Foundation.
  • Leading, global dairy processor, Saputo, promoted Carl Colizza to the position of CEO, who has been with the business since 1998.
  • Italian Winery, Marchesi Frescobaldi, promoted Fabrizio Dosi to CEO, following a successful period as COO.
  • Wellness and nutrition brand, Dirtea, announced former Huel COO, Grant Coetzee as their new CEO.
  • British supermarket chain, ASDA, revealed a new brand identity.
  • Knoops appointed Romy Miller, as their new CMO, who departs KellyDeli, where she hel the role of Global Brand Director.
  • Diageo announced it was investing €100m in decarbonising its Dublin production facility.
  • Walmart reported Q1 sales growth of 6%, with ecommerce sales growing by 21%.
  • Pizza Hut strengthened their senior marketing functions, appointing Kalen Thornton as Global Chief Brand Officer and Melissa Abola Friebe as Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Heineken acquired a minority stake in Dutch RTD brand, STELZ.
  • McCormick & Company added industry veteran, Valarie Sheppard, to its board of directors.
  • Award-winning tea brand, Pukka, promoted Isaac Fisher to CEO, following 11 years as Managing Director.
  • Italian food group, Newlat Food, announced the acquisition of the leading UK food & drink group, Princes Limited, in a deal worth £700m. Following the acquisition, the company is set to rebrand as New Princes Group.
