MacGregor Black are partnering with a large FMCG business on the search for a Financial Controller. This is a permanent role based in County Offaly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a large manufacturing business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial stability, compliance, and driving financial strategy to support the continued growth.
  • Develop and manage financial budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyse financial performance, provide insights, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and optimise the company’s capital structure.
  • Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure the company’s adherence.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and profit enhancement.

What are we looking for?

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a large manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and make sound financial decision
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
