MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a toy company, on the search for Head of Sales. This is a permanent role based in Germany.

As the Head of Sales, you will serve as a senior leader within the organisation, overseeing and directing all aspects of the sales department. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing strategic sales plans, nurturing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with other senior executives to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and ensure the company’s continued success and expansion in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading the sales strategy for brands and products within the German market, ensuring alignment with established budgets and objectives.
  • Driving performance and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Cultivating key relationships, fostering networks, and developing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Identifying critical challenges and opportunities and devising comprehensive action plans.
  • Overseeing promotional activities to optimise the allocation of promotional funds across accounts as a percentage of sales.
  • Exploring and capitalising on new business opportunities.
  • Identifying and prioritising potential markets for expansion.
  • Effectively communicating the unique value propositions of company brands to prospective partners.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales management role.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with major grocers.
  • Prior involvement and expertise in the toy industry.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive results and manage a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Self-driven with a proactive and hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Fluent in German with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
