Maintenance Technician

MacGregor Black is working with a Leading FMCG Brand on the search for a Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent role based in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance programmes and schedules recommending improvements where appropriate, to ensure efficiencies are maximised.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and repair breakdowns promptly to ensure downtime is minimised.
• Analyse line efficiency, wastage, and downtime data with a view to identifying areas for performance improvement.
• Identifying faulty equipment by consulting manufacturer’s manuals & reading detailed mechanical exploded drawings to resource and order replacement parts.
• Proactive approach to production line equipment with the implementation of Continuous Improvements to drive better performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Apprentice trained maintenance technician, HNC or HND desirable.
• Multi-skilled engineer, electrically biased.
• Experienced within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• In depth knowledge of maintenance systems and processes.
• Proven knowledge and experience of initiating and implementing continuous improvements, lean manufacturing and Six sigma techniques.
• Strong IT skills.

Salary c52k + Benefits.
