MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Writing and Marking instrument company, on the search for National Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in United Kingdom.

As the National Account Manager, you will drive sales and expand our presence within national building merchants. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with key accounts, driving revenue growth, and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate national building merchants and increase market share.
  • Identify and prioritise key accounts, establishing strong relationships with decision-makers at various levels.
  • Drive sales through proactive account management, including regular visits, product presentations, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment of strategies and resources.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotions to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and develop action plans accordingly.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance updates to senior management.

What are we looking for?
 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Significant experience selling into and opening national building merchants is essential.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving growth and exceeding targets.
