MacGregor Black is partnering with a renowned Beer Producer on the search for a Senior Brewer. This is a permanent role based in a remote area of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the production process, from fermentation to maturation and filtration, ensuring quality and consistency in every batch.
  • Lead a team, coordinating activities and ensuring production schedules are met.
  • Develop and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, analysing data to inform operational decisions.
  • Promote and enforce high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the team.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the production team and wider external departments.
  • Conduct training sessions and mentor junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to align with production schedules.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of brewing techniques and industry trends.

What We’re Looking For:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Brewing & Distilling, or a related field is advantageous. However, substantial hands-on brewing experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a brewing role, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Deep passion for beer and a commitment to producing the highest quality products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about production operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to leadership.
  • Willingness to work shift patterns, rotating between days and nights.

Salary: Up to £70k + Benefits
