Are you a proven Non Executive Director with experience in supporting privately owned, high growth SME’s?

Have you successfully led the development and growth of a marketplace platform?

Can you combine both strategic and hands-on support to a team of functional heads?

As a Non-Executive Director (NED), you will play a crucial role in providing independent oversight, strategic guidance,
and industry expertise to our board of directors. You will contribute your knowledge of technology markets, startup growth
strategies, and governance best practices to support our mission of building a successful and sustainable platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Offer strategic advice and industry insights based on your experience in the technology sector, particularly within marketplace platforms and digital ecosystems.
  • Assist in shaping our business strategy, product development roadmap, and expansion plans, leveraging your understanding of market trends and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure effective governance and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, guiding the board on matters of corporate governance and risk management.
  • Provide independent oversight and challenge to executive decisions, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, alliances, or strategic opportunities that can accelerate our growth, enhance our competitive position, or diversify our revenue streams.
  • Leverage your network and industry connections to facilitate introductions to key stakeholders, investors, or potential partners.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements, market disruptions, and competitive developments in the tech marketplace landscape, advising on opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Assess our technology infrastructure, scalability, and cybersecurity measures, providing recommendations to strengthen our technical capabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Engage with investors, shareholders, and other stakeholders to provide transparency, address concerns, and foster trust and confidence in our company’s vision and performance.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, promoting our brand and building relationships with key influencers.


  • Proven experience serving on boards or advisory roles within technology startups or digital marketplaces, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in scaling innovative businesses.
  • Deep knowledge of technology markets, digital platforms, e-commerce trends, and disruptive technologies, with a track record of identifying and capitalising on market opportunities.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies and actionable plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, build consensus, and influence decision-making processes.
